Nicollet County is located in south central Minnesota.
The county is named for Joseph Nicollet, an early explorer. The county seat is Saint Peter, and the largest city is North Mankato.
It borders Sibley, Le Sueur, Blue Earth, Brown and Renville Counties.
Main highways include US-169, US-14, MN-4, MN-15, MN-22, MN-60 and MN-99.
